We have developed persistence, compliance and adherence metrics leveraging the use of encrypted longitudinal prescription patient data. Collaborating closely with our clients’ Business Analysis and Management Science colleagues, our OPUS Health co-pay and adherence programs are analyzed for our clients through the use of these leading industry standard metrics:

• Adherence: the amount of time patients remain on continuous therapy with a permissible drug gap. % patients on therapy as of month X = # of patients persistent as of month X / Total # of patients initiated therapy. This metric demonstrates the impact of patients’ drop-off or discontinuance of therapy.
• Average Length of Therapy (LOT is the average length of therapy in days that a patient is on therapy; LOT = time from first fill to last fill + days supply of last fill)
• Refill rate: is the number of fills or TRxs during analysis period
• Compliance: the extent to which patients act in accordance with prescribed treatment regimen. The sum of total days supplied divided by total length of therapy
• Medication Possession Ratio (MPR): the rate calculated by total days supply / analysis period.
